If you choose an apartment, you must make your own arrangements.

Budget

When considering your budget, you'll need toÌýthink beyond rent. Some apartments may include utilities in the rent, but many do not, and may have extra fees for other amenities. Be sure to consider all of the following when determining your budget:Ìý

  • Rent
  • Utilities - may or may not be included in your lease. Be sure to ask potential landlords.
  • Other fees - this can include things like pet fees, security deposits and fees for shared amenities.
  • Parking - there may be parking included as your rent or you might need to pay a fee for it. Alternatively, street parking may be your best option.
  • Transportation - park & ride and other bus services may be available to you.

The Boulder Broker

The hotel’s flexible leasing structure allows you to rent on a daily or monthly basis (the monthly rate is discounted). Amenities are similar to campus dormitories, and utilities, including wifi, are included in the monthly price. Each room features:

Transportation

Think about what kind of commute you want to have to campus. You may be able to save money on rent if you are openÌýto a longer commute, but don't forget to factor in other potential costs likeÌýcar payments and maintenance, gas, tolls and parking passes. All students receive anÌýRTD CollegePassÌýthat gives them access to all local and regional bus services, that you can use to commute in and around Boulder as well as the surrounding towns.Ìý

How you get to class depends on where you live. If you do not have a car, stay near a bus stop!

  • Inside Boulder: Most students walk, bike, or use .
  • Outside Boulder: Cities like Louisville, Superior, or Broomfield are cheaper, but the commute is longer. Use the to plan.
  • Ride for Free: Your university card gives you free access to the bus system.

University Meals

You have many choices for dining on campus. You don't have to cook every day!

  • Campus Dining: View Dining Options to see locations, daily menus, and opening hours across campus.
  • Meal Plans: If you live off-campus, you can buy Student Meal Plans (Block Plans). These let you eat at campus dining halls for a set price.
  • Convenience: Campus dining is a great way to meet other students and save time between classes.
