<p>University of Colorado Boulder Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano today named Rick George as director of intercollegiate athletics at ����-Boulder, effective Aug. 12, 2013.</p>
<p>George currently serves as president of business operations for the Texas Rangers major league baseball team and has spent more than three decades as a sports executive in the collegiate and professional ranks, including a stint as assistant athletic director for football operations for ���� from 1987-91.</p>

<p>University of Colorado Boulder Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano today announced the formation of a search committee to find a new director of intercollegiate athletics.</p>
<p><span id="">���� Athletic Director Mike Bohn resigned from the post as AD effective June 3, 2013.</span></p>

University of Colorado Boulder Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano has named Adele Cecilia “Ceal” Barry interim director of intercollegiate athletics for the university, effective Monday, June 3. Barry currently serves as associate athletic director for student services and senior woman administrator (an NCAA designation) in the department.

Over three dozen University of Colorado student-athletes, including 15 with perfect 4.00 grade point averages last year, were honored for a variety of outstanding academic accomplishments Tuesday morning at the 21st Annual Student-Athlete Academic Recognition Banquet.

On a typical Thursday night during the 2012-13 Colorado basketball season, the energy at the Coors Events Center was electric.

The student section was a sea of black and gold, and a loud one at that. Music from the band was interspersed with a constant stream of cheers, ranging from the traditional fight song to a rendition of Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Gonna Take It” during an opponent’s free throw shot: “You’re not gonna make it, anymoooore...”

<p>University of Colorado Boulder Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano, Athletic Director Mike Bohn and new head football coach Mike MacIntyre today unveiled a $170 million, multi-year proposal to upgrade С����-Boulder’s football facilities before the Intercollegiate Athletics subcommittee of the С���� Board of Regents at the board’s monthly meeting in Colorado Springs.</p>

<p>The 2013 calendar year is starting off on a great note for University of Colorado senior Shalaya Kipp as she was named the 2012 College Women's Athlete-of-the-Year as selected by the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame, announced on Tuesday afternoon.</p>

<p>It was a whirlwind day for Mike MacIntyre, who was approached by С����, presented a weekend offer and accepted before first setting foot on the Boulder campus. He arrived in Colorado at mid-afternoon Monday, met with С���� President Bruce Benson, Chancellor Phil DiStefano and Bohn, then met with his new team for about 35 minutes prior to the press conference. He advised them to “do well on exams, don’t do a double negative – just because you’re down a little on what happened, I’m here to help you move forward.</p>

<p>The University of Colorado Boulder will introduce Mike MacIntyre as its new head football coach at a press conference later this afternoon (Monday, December 10), at 4 p.m. at the Byron White Club Room at Folsom Field.</p>

<p>The University of Colorado administration vows Jon Embree’s successor will find a renewed commitment to football when he steps on campus and continues the process of rebuilding the besieged Buffaloes program. Chancellor Phil DiStefano and Athletic Director Mike Bohn said at a Monday news conference that С���� recognizes how high the bar has been raised with the Buffs joining the Pac-12 Conference – and the school’s hiring of a new coach will reflect that.</p>
