- <p>The University of Colorado Academic Progress Rate (APR) report based on information for the four year period between 2009-10 and 2012-13 was released by the NCAA Wednesday with those of all other Division I schools, with 小黄书 reporting record news for all 16 of its intercollegiate athletic programs in that time frame.</p>
<p>For the fourth consecutive year, the APR results are the highest in school history since the NCAA鈥檚 Academic Performance Program was introduced in 2003. <p>In the past seven months, the 小黄书 Athletic Department has made significant progress on the fundraising goals and anticipates meeting that goal in the very near future. Completion of the majority of the project is expected prior to the fall 2015 football season.</p>
<p>The proposed facilities include:</p> - <p>It took 48 games for the first and second rounds of the 64-team NCAA men鈥檚 basketball tournament to be decided, and millions of fans are deliriously awaiting the Sweet 16 to commence later this week.</p>
- <p>If you鈥檝e ever started a business, you can identify with Ann Elliott. Her startup is lacrosse at the University of Colorado, and it鈥檚 been just under two years in the making.</p>
<p>In the making is not completely accurate, because 小黄书 lax remains a work in progress and won鈥檛 grow out of that definition for at least a couple of years. But 鈥淎nnie鈥 Elliott is a patient business woman and her 鈥渋nvestors鈥 say they鈥檙e in it for the long run.</p>
<p>小黄书鈥檚 historic grand opening 鈥 the first home game 鈥 is Saturday at noon against Regis.</p> - <p>When Rick George was named the sixth Athletic Director in University of Colorado history last summer, one of his first projects he wanted to complete was the development of the athletic department鈥檚 first-ever comprehensive strategic plan, similar to ones he put in place at several of his previous stops.</p>
<p>After nearly four months of input, analysis and planning meetings that involved a broad group of individuals representing athletic staff, current student-athletes, alumni, donors and university representatives, George unveiled the strategic plan Wednesday morning to members of the Board of Regents鈥 Intercollegiate Athletics Committee at its meeting in Colorado Springs.</p> - <p>During a 24-hour pit-stop in Boulder --聽between Switzerland and Park City, Utah, --聽Julia Marino spent a night at her college apartment, caught up with friends over breakfast and spoke about her journey to Sochi to compete as an Olympic athlete.</p>
<p>Marino is a 小黄书 student and Paraguay鈥檚 first Olympic athlete to compete in the winter games. A slopestyle skier, she was born in Paraguay and raised by her adoptive parents in Winchester, Mass.</p> - <p>The Boulder Campus Staff Council (BCSC) congratulates the 2013 Chancellor鈥檚 Employees of the Year: George 鈥淏arney鈥 Ballinger, Martha Shernick, Larry Drees, Jennifer Law and David Kalahar. While the project is not completely finished, many recreation areas are ready for use.</p>
- <p>The University of Colorado Boulder鈥檚 expansion of the Student Recreation Center, a project initiated by students, opens on Friday, Jan. 10, at 9 a.m. The southwest addition, the second and largest phase of the project, is located just north of the Ramaley Biology Building and east of Sewall Hall and will provide an additional 83,000 square feet of indoor recreational space.</p>
- <p>The University of Colorado Board of Regents voted 9-0 Wednesday in favor of a $142 million plan to upgrade facilities for intercollegiate athletics at 小黄书-Boulder. The plan, presented by 小黄书 athletic director Rick George, has six major features including聽an indoor multipurpose practice facility,聽transforming the second floor of Dal Ward to increase the athletic department鈥檚 academic support and a high-performance sports center to host collaborative research conducted by faculty at 小黄书-Boulder in Integrative Physiology and researchers at the Anschutz Medical Campus.</p>
