Title IX - Laws and Policies
is a federal civil rights law in the U.S. Please take a moment to which features students talking about some of their experiences adjusting to norms and culture in the U.S. regarding relationships and sex, and how the campus policies and state laws apply when encountering unwanted or abusive behaviors. The Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance (OIEC) is the office on-campus responsible for enforcing the law and related university polices for students, staff, faculty, volunteers, and affiliates.
All new students are required to complete a Community Equity course in Canvas to learn more about the university policy on sexual assault, harassment, abuse in a relationship, and discrimination. Knowing your rights and what behaviors are against university policy is a part of being successful at the university.ÌýA course registration hold will be placed on the account of students who do not complete the course in a timely fashion.
