Summer 2026 Tuition Assistance Benefit - application window opens May 1

The application window for the summer 2026 Tuition Assistance Benefit (TAB) opens May 1. On most campuses, TAB allows you or a dependent to have up to 12 credits waived per academic year. For Boulder employees using it on the Boulder campus, dependents get a 40% tuition discount.

Regular, non-temporary employees working 20 hours or more per week are eligible to use TAB for themselves or their dependents. In general, if you qualify for health insurance through С»ÆÊé, you’re also eligible to apply for TAB.

TAB application steps

Before you begin the steps below, you or your dependents may want to review the eligibility information pages and to understand which courses and programs are eligible for TAB use and which are not.ÌýÌý

Step 1: Apply to the campus you or your dependent plan to attend. If you or your dependent want to take classes but are not pursuing a degree or certificate, follow that campus’ instructions for non-degree-seeking students. Those deadlines may be earlier than the TAB deadlines.

Step 2: Register for classes.

Step 3: Complete the Tuition Assistance Benefit Application in theÌý. Employees must complete the TAB application for dependents. List backup class options in case your preferred class is full.

Step 4: Watch for confirmation from your campus Bursar’s Office that your tuition assistance has been applied to your account.

Step 5: If necessary, resubmit your TAB application. This will only be needed if you or your dependent change the class(es) you are requesting to have covered by TAB or your application was rejected due to an error.
