Kathryn is an environmental justice researcher and PhD Candidate whose work centers on how climate change shapes mental health, well-being, and inequity in vulnerable communities. Her research takes a community-engaged, humanitarian approach, partnering with local stakeholders to understand how environmental stressors (e.g., climate variability, food insecurity, discrimination) affect psychological health and daily livelihoods.Ìý

Kathryn has led and contributed to projects on neighborhood health inequities in Minneapolis, community-based climate adaptation along Lake Ontario, and environmental change and farmer well-being in Uganda. Across these contexts, her work emphasizes equitable adaptation, inclusive decision-making, and translating research into actionable outcomes for communities. She has extensive experience in college teaching, mentorship, stakeholder engagement, and research coordination. Kathryn holds degrees from the University of Michigan in Environmental Science (B.S.) and Biology, Health, and Society (B.S.).Ìý
